dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the development of a solar-powered water pumping system for small scale irrigation usage. The main objective of this research is to analyze and compare the efficiency of different types of direct current water pump to be used in solar water pump system. This involve the study of solar panel concept and the existing applications of the solar panel, review on the water pumping system including implementation of renewable energy mainly on solar energy specially for irrigation purposes and to study the characteristic and its principle of existing (DC) pump. The method that the author used to conduct the project and analyze the system efficiency is from the data collected from the project such as flowrate and pressure reading of DC pump and its power reading. All of the data were collected based on several varying factor such as, solar irradiation, the use of battery and the different height of dynamic head. All of these factors are performed to do analysis of the solar power system performance.en_US
