dc.description.abstractAlmost every student in higher education institutions uses Internet for academic and other purposes. The aim of this study was to examine the significant relationship between students' characteristics with quality time spent on the Internet. A survey on 200 students of UNITEN Muadzam Shah and Politeknik Muadzam Shah with various courses was carried out. Independent variables used to measure students' academic performance were age, CGPA, courses, gender and year of studies. Data collected showed that students' gender and year of studies do affect quality time spent on the internet.
