This thesis investigates the propagation of wave through a semi-finite rod and through viscoelastic slug. First the viscoelastic slug is modeled using the Lumped Parameter Model specifically the Kelvin-Voigt model which consists of a spring element and dashpot element arranged in parallel. The motion of wave propagation is treated as one- dimensional. The objective of this study is to relate the transmitted signal to the material parameters of the slug and to observe how does a viscoelastic material react to stress and strain.en_US
