The Development of a smart safebox is comprised of both hardware and software designing. The system was developed by utilizing a low cost microcontroller called raspberry pi. The microcontroller is then incorporated with some peripherals such as vibration sensor, RFID reader, solenoid lock and more to add some unique features to the prototype. Moreover, the design of the prototype is equipped with a 3G modem to send sms alerts in case of an emergency. Besides that, the structure of the prototype is also designed in a manner that it is significantly distinct from conventional safes currently in market. Furthermore, compared to conventional safe boxes, the prototype is both cost and power efficient. A 9V and 5V DC power supply is sufficient enough to power up the safe.
