Abstract
The increasing of Malaysia's population leads to a higher demand for food and thus vegetables. However, the technology development in agriculture is still low and especially as in the rural area. Besides that, the current technique applied by the farmers does not really maximizes the farm's productivity. Precision farming is one of the method used in order to increase productivity. Furthermore, precision farming method have also been researched into to speed up processes and cost cutting. Presently research on the method on how to punch holes on to Silvershine Plastic is the most focused topic. In order to design and develop the best Silvershine Holes Puncher, literature reviews on existing design, journals, reports, articles, patterns and statistics were conducted. The used of heat-based cutting method was found promising by producing very consistent holes and reducing working time as compared to the conventional cutting method. Further research on the design and development of Silvershine Holes Puncher will lead to further improvement and thus create better productivity for farmers. In general, this research will in a way contributes a lot in Malaysia's agriculture field.
