| dc.description.abstract | This thesis discusses the design and development of the Energy Saving Test Bed (ESTB) hardware system. The ESTB will develop to test and clarify the efficiency of the available energy saving devices. The ESTB is developing as a part of the power electrical and electronics building block program to support both the hardware and software application. The test will be conducted in a closed-control environment on various inductive loads, including both consistent and in consistent running motor loads. This project is an integration of load module, data measurement, logging module, power supply and electrical protection. Let's look back at some of the vital phenomena on electricity demand in household. The electricity demand and usage of the electrical household devices are constantly increasing and so is there cost, and since homes around the world have no means to judge household energy use other than their monthly utility bills. It is needed to monitor the energy consumption of these household devices in order to reduce the consumption to lead into a less electricity cost. | |
