The properties and characteristics of the swirl in terms of temperature, flow and velocity distribution are numerically studied using CFD software for this project. This study has two case which is base case and test case. Natural gas was used for the both cases. For the base case, propane gas was used as fuel to simulate for combustion and non- combustion case. Then the test case, kerosene gas, hydrogen gas and fuel-oil gas was used to simulate for the combustion case. Both cases are simulated inside a symmetrical shaped (square) furnace. The outcomes are shown in temperature contours, velocity vector diagrams, graphs for velocity magnitude, x-velocity, y-velocity and z-velocity. 8 plane has been chosen for the investigation, which is (a) 5.5 m, (b) 6.5 m, and (c) 7 m plane on burner area and for (d) 12 m, (e) 14 m, (f) 16 m, (g) 19 m and (h) 26 m is known as furnace area. The evaluation of temperature and flow distribution is essential in order to understand the causes of such outcomes.
