The main aim of the study was to design and develop a smart solar powered LED street lighting. This project differs from standard street illumination systems where it works by the principle of solar energy. Depending on the LDR sensor, it activates and disables the Lighting automatically, ensuring that the battery is charged and discharged continuously for maximum efficiency and longer lifespan. This project automatically controls LED brightness where the full level of lighting is not necessary in some conditions, thus helping to reduce power consumption and human error. All functions and features are possible with controller, which allow variable activation of time and intensity of brightness automatically. The project worked as scheduled and was a cheaper and environmentally friendly alternative to the conventional streetlight. The approach to managing street lighting systems in a wide variety of applications was also cost efficient.en_US
