dc.description.abstractOver recent decades after the advent of technology, smart home idea has become increasingly popular. Nevertheless, the widespread implementation of that concept is however discouraged by concern about flexibility and infrastructure requirements. This project aims to improve the overall experience of a smart home through the integration into a standard smart domestic sensory network of IEEE 802.11 wireless communication standard. The project’s objective was focused on developing a Wi-Fi built-in home system with a PIC micro-controller and Wi-Fi module as the main component. To produce a genuine a smart home system another component should be include such as DHT 11 temperature and humidity sensors and HC-SR505 Passive Infrared Motion sensors to imitate a home environment of real life. A graphical user interface (GUI) application was also developed for monitoring the situation inside the home.en_US
