The significance of superconductors being analysed to radiation can be perceived by the application of it as a well-rounded components in nuclear reactors. The effect of neutron irradiation on Bi1.6 Pb0.4Sr2CaCu3O10 (Bi-2223) will be examined with respect to its durability of mechanical and electrical properties, phase formation and microstructure of the superconductor. The purpose of conducting this experiment is to intensify the performance of superconductors. The samples were prepared beforehand by fully sintering it at 840°C. A portion of fully synthesized were tested under neutron irradiation. The results were compared between non-irradiated and irradiated samples. Characterizations were accomplished by undergoing X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). A cryogenic system of four point probe is used in order analyse the electrical properties which analyses the critical temperature, Tc .en_US
