dc.description.abstractEnergy monitoring devices is an IoT (Internet of things) application where it is very useful to monitor energy usage of electrical appliances that have been used by the consumer. The devices are made for the purpose of smart home where the modern home being made based on internet-connected devices. For this project, low cost monitoring equipment are being made and introduced to monitor the electrical usage, cost of daily usage and UI (user interface) are being made. All of these objectives are able to be accomplished by using NodeMCU as brain of microcontroller and current sensor (ACS712) to detect current going through the live wire. These hardware have a function to process the data collected to a transmitted into smart phone application based in internet of thing. Also this project will take respond when the electrical appliances or bulbs are being turn on for a certain hour. The programs that have been put in brain of microcontroller are a simple formula energy and cost calculation.en_US
