This thesis deals with real-time power cable temperature monitoring system using BOTDA: UI/UX Development. Temperature is a parameter that limits the transmission ability of cables and especially underground networks likely to influence from heat resistivity, adjacent cables and other heat dispatching sources. Monitoring the temperature is very important to detect hot spots. The temperature of the power cable is monitored continuously and in real time, along its entire length enabling hotspots and temperature anomalies to be located and investigated. Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis (BOTDA) is all about the interaction between pulsed and continuous light waves propagating in an opposite direction inside an optical fibre. Meanwhile, for the UI/UX development python programming language will be used.en_US
