Controlling the ratio of coal blend can determine the various type of elements and compounds inside the coal properties. The mixing between two type of sub-bituminous coal can determine effects on slagging and fouling by analytical and combustion analysis. From the finding of this investigation, it can conclude that slagging and fouling can be controlled by mixing two different types of coal, for example the fouling problems. From the analytical data have been stated that one of the coal is in medium indicator of fouling problems, hence the experiment will be targeting to reduce the fouling index to low indicator. Coal blending method managed to reduce the fouling problems by reducing the number of elements that contribute to the fouling. In conclusion, experimental investigation into the effects of coal blending on the formation of slagging and fouling in the combustion test rig is a success. Coal blending can control the slagging and fouling in the coal fired power plant.
