Abstract
The research were conducted not to replace fully the content of cement in production of concrete, but altering the need of the cement in producing a concrete. The idea of using newspaper ash as the replacement of cement is because, newspaper are also of the materials that we only use for short period of time. Instead of the used newspaper been thrown away, we come reuse it for another purpose that can bring positive effects for the future and the environment. Newspaper ash are believed to have the properties of a pozzolanic behavior. In order to clarify the assumption, several experiment and test need to be conducted and to see whether can newspaper ash alter the need of cement in producing a good quality concrete. There are also several objective that need to be achieve for the newspaper ash to perform as a partially replace cement in concrete mix. The first objective is to optimize the quality of waste newspaper ash as replacement of cement. The second objective is to improve the concrete pozzolanic behavior by using waste newspaper ash.
