| dc.description.abstract | Generally, the project is about the implementation of USB in PC-based data acquisition system. The focus in this project is to build PC-based data acquisition system that will transfer data to PC using USB port. This project can be separated into two parts, which are hardware and software. This thesis will explain on how temperature sensor sends its captured data via USB port to PC for further processing. To interface all the data to PC, and to display and save it, Visual Basic 6.0 is used as the interface software. Two important things will be discussed in this thesis, which are hardware and software. There will be communication between these two when hardware which is temperature sensor in this project detects temperature value, capture it and send it via USB port to PC. Software in PC will analyze data and save it in notepad format. This thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter 1 will briefly give some introduction to readers about this project. From project objectives, project structure, until project description. Chapter 2 is all about literature review. All technical review about hardware, software and their components will be explained in this chapter. The progress and implementation of this project were discussed in Chapter 3: Methodology. Result and discussion were shown in Chapter 4. And lastly, in Chapter 5, author wraps up this thesis with conclusions and few recommendations to improvise this project. | |
