Renewable energy ensure a sustainable future. Most of the existing power generation uses fossil fuel as a major resource that resulted to carbon emission. Renewable energy as a solution has proven to be a cleaner substitute however it has the common intermittency issue. Hybrid of renewable energy system tackles the intermittency issue by combining two or more resources together. The system can be in multiple design architecture with different power sources. This project reviewed three different hybrid of wind solar renewable energy system for Pulau Redang residential area. The analysis consists of the utilization of power sources, the emission and the NPC. By taking all of them into consideration, system 2, hybrid of wind solar with battery system is the most optimized microgrid system for the island. The emission is none from this system as the generator is excluded hence the use of fossil fuel is avoided totallyen_US
