| dc.description.abstract | Around the world the effects of climate change can be experienced by extreme weathers that have occur in several nations. Long draught, flash flood and massive tropical storm have disrupted developments process and of course the economy of a nation. Climate change is the alteration in the patterns of the weather conditions which is also related to global warming where the Earth's average temperature rise. High production of carbon emission from fossil generation have contributed to this alteration of weather patterns. Buildings consume at least 40% of energy worldwide therefore it is eminent to reduce energy demand of existing buildings and upcoming ones. This review paper demonstrates available energy saving technique for different type of buildings which are office, residential, factory or warehouse and other facilities. Majority of findings are for office buildings under the tropical and subtropical region. Additionally, the energy saving techniques are segregated into retrofitting exiting building, low carbon building and energy management system. Over 50 articles were reviewed. | |
