dc.description.abstract | Facing the ever-lasting issues of environment has push the human’s technology infrastructure and transportation to save the planet, global warming and green-house effect is reduce at the expense of billions spending in green technology by governments. Envisioning the future with regulation to a point where all vehicles are environmentally friendly producing zero harmful gases, bicycle is a prominent solution that has existed for 100 of years with no harm to the environment. Although bicycle technology has come to its full capability, riding a bicycle in its two-wheel formation and front wheel steering configuration can be much to improved. Introducing a rear-wheel steering in additional to the front wheel, may completely transform the bicycle as a primary commuting vehicle in the future. Incorporating two-wheel steering is an idea derived from existing technology applied to modern vehicles, four-wheel steering, that has shown its usefulness in the vehicle industry. Design of such technology is made as a isolate mechanism to enable for it to work and a second design applied to the bicycle frame for the whole system to work completely. This newly design product has undergone many design stages to prove its product value in the market, using technical method such as Quality Function Development, simulation software, and finally, a prototype development. | en_US |
