Plastics bags play an important role in our daily life. We use these bags almost every single day. When doing groceries at the convenient stores, each one of the customers will at least use three plastic bags. These plastic bags are not regularly being reuse by some of us, and these contribute to increasing in solid waste. It is because the plastics are not degradable. This study was conducted to investigate the potential to replace the conventional plastic bags with the degradable ones. However, to replace with the degradable plastics, these plastics must have at least same mechanical properties so that it serve the purpose to make our daily life easier. The investigation was conducted by using polymer and waste corn husks to produce plastic film. The fabricated films were analyzed by using the ASTM standards. The methodology of this study was based on established standard methodologies.
