Abstract
The main purpose of this project is to develop a real time bus tracking system to enhance current bus service system and reduce the workload of bus management team. The poor services provided by UNITEN bus service providers are because manual work is still implemented. Moreover, passengers which are majority students are impatient while they are waiting in bus stop because they don’t know when the bus is going and stop. Sometimes, the bus also take long waiting time. This proposed system is consisted of Global Positioning System (GPS) , GPS receiver to track the real time bus coordinates from GPS satellite In addition, this system is implemented on Internet to ease students so that they can view the information through Internet access devices. This system proposed a user-friendly mobile based bus tracking system, a tool that can help students to manage their time and to approach a smart campus University.
