dc.description.abstract | This project puts forward a guidance to analyse and set appropriate parameter of Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) system in order to diagnose the test cable. TDR is equipment that functions to detect fault in cables. Certain parameters likes pulse amplitude and pulse width need to be varied based on the suitability of the cable to be tested. As the test cable, XLPE insulated type is chose due to the well application of it in both power transmission and distribution. Those cable need to be maintained to ensure the well performance in preventing negative impact on customer's side. | |
