Abstract
This project documentation is on the usage of software that are able to simulate Malaysia electricity demand and its generation. One of the software that was chose is the Long Range Energy Alternative Planning software (LEAP) in which to determined the best energy conversion technology that are used in Malaysia in order to meet its electricity demand. The process of the simulation is through using past data that was provided by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga and other government websites in order to produce a forecast of the electricity demand by sectors and generation by different energy conversion technologies in Malaysia. The LEAP software also provides easy access to different variables or scenarios in order to justify which selection are the best depending on the criteria of the chosen scenario such as 'nuclear introduced' or 'only all green technology'. The literature review done in this project had great contributed in defining the specifications of each energy conversion technologies and also the basics of a simple demand and generation forecast. In addition, all of the results of this project are done by using the LEAP software provided by Heaps, C.G., 2012. Long- range Energy Alternatives Planning (LEAP) system.
