Neutrons are produced by various sources, such as from isotropic sources, generators, accelerators, research reactors and spallation. Researchers and other users of neutron beam are requesting more sufficient flux of neutrons in specific wavelength. This specific neutron property will help them to improved knowledge and understanding of investigated materials through various experiments. A good moderator should have all these three nuclear properties which are have large scattering cross section, small absorption cross section and large energy per collision. Experiments at small scale facilities like small spallation source, or low flux research reactor can bring the full understanding of moderator material behavior in some controlled and well-defined experiment. This presentation will highlight the findings of the experiment on neutron moderation properties of H2O and NaCl at beamport number four (SANS), TRIGA PUSPATI Reactor.
