dc.description.abstractThis thesis reports the simulation of Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) algorithm using LabVIEW software. LabVIEW software has been widely used in many application because of its simplicity and ease of developing the programming code. Here in this thesis author need to translate the existing DBA algorithm so that simulation can be done on LabVIEW software. Besides that, this algorithm will be tested on NI USRP hardware for real time wireless transmission. Dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm is used in in a Passive Optical Network in order to provide seamless connection. By using DBA, the performance on the overall network can be maximise and the queuing delay of overall system can be minimize. Additionally by realizing the DBA scheme in Fiber-Wireless (Fi-Wi) author strongly believe that the performance of the overall network will be improved further. In this thesis, it is consists of the introduction, literature review, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendations.
