Premix masonry mortar development have been a never ending research where new material are being introduced in mortar to increase sustainability towards construction development, cost effective and improve in performance. The use of bottom ash and fly ash waste from thermal power plant is one method towards the process of sustainability development of mortar mix. The use of these wastes can be tested on various properties in a mortar mix where specifically in this project will be focusing on fire resistance and drying shrinkage of the premix masonry mortar. The porosity of bottom ash plays very significance where it induces change in compressive strength during the application of high amount of heat. Besides that, the use of this fine aggregate restrains shrinkage of mortar bricks even with high water content. The bottom ash is focused since the high amount of content in the mortar mix.
