dc.description.abstractThis project is concern with the numerical study or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) of flow in the spiral casing and stay vanes in the hydraulic turbine. The study basically, is made to investigate the flow pattern and flow pattern and flow characteristic in spiral casing and to compare the effects of new stay vanes profile with existing, which are a flat plate, and also to investigate the capability of the CFD-ACE software. This project is mainly based on the report of upgrading project of the Francis turbine, Unit 3 of Sirikit Dam in Thailand.en_US
