| dc.description.abstract | Coal spontaneous combustion is a worldwide problem that haunt the coal industry. It not only promote serious danger and loss of property, but also contributing large environmental impact. Thus, preventive method can be applied, if the spontaneous combustion is detect beforehand. In order to do so, the ignition temperature of the coal needs to be determined using known method such as Critical Point Temperature (CPT), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetry (TGA) and Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA). TGA/DTA showed excellent repeatability and able to clearly show the ignition temperature for each coal. In order to justify the results obtain from TGA/DTA, TGspc index will also be calculated. | |
