Transportation demand analysis plays several important roles in transportation engineering and planning. In general, transportation demand analysis attempts to quantity the amount of travel on the transportation system. The traditional four-step model has been used to forecast the urban travel. Basically, there are four phases in this model: trip generation model, trip distribution model, mode choice model and trip assignment model. In this thesis, the trip distribution model has been studied thoroughly. Trip distribution procedures determine where the trips produced in each zone will go and how the will be divided among all other zones in the study area. The final product is a projected trip origin-destination table.en_US
