Abstract
In this evolution era, the increasing of work load impacts a stressful and pressure lifestyle. In this case, the busy daily schedule of people mostly referred to parents contributes a lot factors to the child trap incident in vehicles which leads to fatality. The idea of this project is to give an alert to parents about their awareness on child presence in vehicle by using recent technology which is the smartphone. Smartphone is the most essential device where everyone own and can be used for good purposes. The system is designed linking with smartphone where it can be useful to save people’s life. The project design consist of two system which is the sensor system and the alert system. The sensor system is built based on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ connected to the temperature sensor and motion sensor. For the alert system, the data from the sensor system is send to this system which is built using Arduino Nano connected to the GSM module. Once the surrounding temperature of the interior vehicle reaches a danger level and there is presence of child in the vehicle the system alerts the parents by using Short Message System (SMS) as the first attempt. If there is no action taken for the first 1-2 minutes, then a call alert is send to take an immediate action.
