The design scope of this project is an experimental rig for testing flow and heat transfer characteristic on a rotating orifice with extended vanes. The rotating orifice application can be found in car ventilated disc brake and turbo machinery application, however so far there is no reliable qualitative experimental analysis to study the heat transfer parameter like heat transfer rate, heat transfer coefficient, and mass flow rate. The objective is to design a test rig to accommodate different types of orifice and different rotational speed.en_US
