The notion of conserving energy and environment has put an outcome to the growth of automotive research which purposely designed as to produce a high efficiency with low pollutant system. The method of restraining diesel combustion has generated other approaches such are Low Temperature Combustion (LTC) and a homogeneous charge combustion ignition which can occur through subduing the formation of Particulate Matter (PM) and Nitrogen Oxide (NOx). Generally, innumerable researches were done as to achieve a low pollutant results in which most researchers adapting the concept of changing mass flow rate and altering the indirect EGR through intake manifold. Anyhow, this project is conducted through the method of direct EGR injection during fuel injection where the injector is designed in order to direct the flow of the exhaust gas coaxial with the fuel injected. A simulation research is carried along the application of OpenFOAM whereby the velocity of EGR injection and the diameter of direct EGR injector are manipulated in non-combustion and combustion circumstance. Hence, the simulation research illustrates that the method of using direct EGR injection can result in constraining pollution.
