This thesis reports the use of pin on disc testing in order to apply the tungsten nanoparticle. Three sets of experiment were done and labeled as Case 1, Case 2 and Case 3. Case I provides results of wear properties, Case 2 provide results of frictional force and Case 3 provide results of speed. The results from all three experiments were providing from the software WINDUCOM 2006 which the apparatus is located in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Early of this project, the preparation of the nanoparticle and the lubricants were done in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) laboratory. The usage weight of nanoparticle was measured by using analytical balance and the sample calculations are provided in chapter III in methodology part. After the nanoparticle mixed up with the lubricant it should proceed with ultrasonic probe to examine that tungsten naoparticle are soluble in the engine oil lubricant. After that, it must be test using pin on disc in UKM to check the wear and frictional force properties.
