Abstract
This thesis covers on designing a mobile scaffold platform and the steps taken before and after the final design is constructed. Mobile scaffold platform is designed to solve a real life problem in Manjung, Perak. Early part covers on the introduction of scaffold and everything related to it. By using a survey done by the employees of the working environment, three concepts are generated which later being evaluated using Pugh matrix accordingly. From there, the finalized design is constructed by using PTC CREO. Next, several analyses are applied to the design in order to select the best material. The result shows that A12014 (Aluminum Alloy) is the best material to be used for this application based on the analyses and calculations. This final year project thesis includes further works as well as recommendations. The ultimate goal for further works and recommendations is fabricating the mobile scaffold platform other than analyzing the design with several other analyses including fatigue analysis, factor of safety analysis and cost analysis.
