dc.description.abstract"Design of an Amphibious Military Vehicle - Propulsion and On-Water Steering System" is the title of author's Final Year Project under Automotive Area. The author had given the task to design the powertrain and the steering mechanism for the amphibious vehicle to be used on both land and water. The design of the systems should have a set of special features that includes functionality, effectiveness and safety of vehicle operation. Propulsion system and its auxiliaries must use modern technology such as power jets. On-water steering system should demonstrate good and quick maneuverability. All system design should consider lowest overall vehicle weight. Various research and case studies has been carried out throughout the project duration to improve the design with adaption. Besides that, the design of "Propulsion and On-Water Steering System" was a task given to author to work with the author of "Chassis/Body/Hull and Suspension System" to complete the design of an amphibious military vehicle.
