dc.description.abstractRecently, awareness towards green technology has raised up. Even producing power technology, has come up with renewable energy as source of generating power. With smaller scale power generated by the plant, this is known as distributed generation and locate at customer site. Besides that, distributed generation also being established by large power consumer such as factory or in oil industry to ensure, the continuity of supply or back up supply in case of any failure happened at utility site. Distributed generations are as same as power plants being practices all this while. The difference, is that distributed generation is producing power in small scale compared to existing power plants. Hence with the existing of power plants, the additional generator into the power network system is expected to causing congested in transmission line. For that reason, in this research Distributed Series Reactor will be used to reroute the power flow into underutilized lines in order to eliminate the congestion in over utilized line.
