Car accidents have been a major issue in not only our county but worldwide. Many people do not know the outcome when purchasing original automobile products. The only thing that matters to some is the price of a product. Customers aim to purchase a less expensive product knowing it is not original. This has been a problem in the automobile industry, hence making imitation parts illegal to be sold. Purchasing imitation parts are not as easy as they used to be since it is not widely common in the average customer automobile market. Studies have been carried out on automobile parts to find out the strength and properties of the materials. In this thesis, comparison of imitation parts with original parts is carried out using destructive and non-destructive testing. From the results and readings collected from the experiment, a comparison of the two products are made.en_US
