dc.description.abstractThe software that is to be developed is intended to be a Management Information System, as it will help a certain security firm to manage their Human Resources effectively, and help the manager of the firm to make long term goals by viewing the business pattern of his security firm. Therefore the system to be developed could be citied as an OMS (Office Management System). Now, the author's proposal is to create a staff time sheet management and payroll management system that automate the manual based operations and procedure. The supervisor would only have to enter relevant information into the database regarding the guards, and the assignments (this is done only when a new guard has joined in or when they have got a new assignment). Then, they would have a daily entry time sheet where they would only have to enter relevant information about the guard who worked that particular day and his time in/out and post name. At the cnd of the month this system would be able to generate the payslip with much ease. The system would also be able to help the Manager to make long term goals by summarizing the income, revenue, and the staff's attendance. The summary report would be presented via graphical chart. It was found that the building of this system utilizing the intranet as a development framework can save the organization in millions, and bring the ease of remote access.
