dc.description.abstractSurface finishing can be essential to alter the surface of a finished product. Sandblasting method can be used instead of acid etching because sandblasting considered to be more gentle process and considerably removes less material from the surface. Effect of sandblasting time on microhardness and microstructure of ASTM A516 Grade 70 steel are studied. Sandblasting time affect the microstructure of metals as the impact of abrasive hit the surface continuously according to time. Rockwell hardness test and SEM test has been conducted to investigate the changes of mechanical properties.en_US
