This thesis reports the technique of spraying lubricating oil coating onto exhaust pipes inner surface to extend the service life of exhaust pipes. Basically, exhaust parts in a typical exhaust system of an automobile tend to fail because of rust. Usually, this internal corrosion makes the exhaust pipes to malfunction. Being the major factor of failure, internal corrosion can be prevented by making a layer of coating at interior of exhaust pipes which avoids the contact between acidic moisture and metal surface for react towards corrosion. Exhaust component which contributes major to internal corrosion is the exhaust pipes known as front tail pipe. Therefore, project researches been narrow down to particular component which is front tail pipe. Protective coatings to be build using lubricating oil, more specifically engine oil. A system of apparatuses is involved in performing required interior coating. Technique of spraying coating is the developed and proposed system in this project to meet the goal of extending lifespan of exhaust pipes.
