dc.description.abstractThis project has been carried out for mechanical properties experiment because in certain previous studies the essential issues of current plastic materials are heavy in weight, nonbiodegradable and lack specific strength. Throughout this thesis, the method principle is explained and the experiment of the specimen has been done by developing Epoxy Resin with Solid Glass Microsphere (SGM) as a composite material. Also, in this project, Solid Glass Microsphere (SGM) was chosen for becoming the filler of composite material. In this project, in order to develop a specimen that can testing properly, a mould was prepared first using a sample of the specimen provided. Many steps are used, based on the literature review of the previous study to improve mechanical properties of composite material. Moreover, the characteristic of the composite materials is influenced by various particle filler sizes. Therefore, having a sample preparation during this study to figure out particle filler size that affect behaviour its properties. To improve and do some modification, optimization is needed of particle filler size for all mechanical properties testing on this projecten_US
