The title of the project is the study of pipe inner condition by using thermographic mehod. The main objective of the project is to study how to detect the defect exist in the internal part of the pipe by using thermography camera. The thermography camera is used to capture the image of the heated specimen to detect the defect which may exist in much form such as crack, holes, scaling, and erosion. The working principle of the camera is detecting the reflection of temperature difference. The camera is able to be calibrate into a desire temperature range to be use. Normally the colour tone of the image which is recognized as 'thermogram' is brighter for the hotter part of the tested specimen and vice versa. The specimen is able to be heated by any kind of heat source as long as it is sufficient to heat the specimen into a desired temperature. Usually the heating process is varied with a different thermography method.
