dc.description.abstractThis thesis documents the design process from concept generation to fabricate for a design for boiler header inspection. Every boiler header needs to be done inspection once in a week. The boiler needs to be inspected in order to detect any defect such as cracks, corrosion and so on. The project scope was narrowed down only for the boiler header which have the diameter range of 300 mm to 1000mm. Literature review and market research on the project's objective gives a better understanding about the entire design. The whole system designed using CAD software such as the Solidworks 2016. Stress analysis has been done on critical parts of the design. The design was improved accordingly before finalizing the complete design. Finalized design was then sent for fabrication process to obtain the prototype. Upon completion of fabrication process, the prototype was tested with using a PVC pipe to ensure that the design fulfill the requirements and meet the project's objectives.
