Abstract
The aim of this project is to design and developed a self-sustaining and ergonomic laptop cooler by recycling the heat from laptop to generate or store energy in the power bank to enable a continuous cycle of energy throughout the laptop cooler system without harvest the power source from Universal Serial Bus (USB) port on the laptop which may reduce the laptop life span. To generate energy from the waste of a laptop, a device known as the thermoelectric generator is used to convert heat energy to electrical energy. The working principal of the device in this study is known as the Seebeck effect. From the temperature difference obtain from the thermoelectric generator, a potential difference is also obtained which may supply energy back to the power bank that was initially used to power the fans in the cooler system. By using this implementation, the need of using other available energy for charging the power bank or the fan maybe neglected. Referring to ergonomic, the current available laptop coolers are bulky and hard to bring anywhere conveniently. Therefore, it is imminent to innovate the existing design to be able to reach the maximum mobility for convenience and transportation.
