Malaysia is dependent on fossil fuel to supply electricity; thus, the renewable energy can be utilized to replace the dependency of fossil fuel. The hybrid renewable energy system with an off grid has be designed to supply electricity for community. This hybrid mechanism is consisting of solar PV, microturbine as backup source instead of diesel generator and battery storage. The load consumption of the Murni’s Apartment with the primary load of 4,062 kWh/year and deferrable load of 11,241 kWh/year consist of lightning, water pumping and refrigerator. HOMER software is used to design and optimize this hybrid mechanism to get the COE and NPC of the system.en_US
