This thesis is about design an environmentally friendly prototype car that operates efficiently on hydrogen fuel cells. The vehicle is constructed according to 2016 Shell Eco Marathon rules and regulations, where it consist of 3 wheels, light weight build for race purpose. The goals of this project are to achieve a fuel efficient prototype vehicle with small rolling resistance aerodynamics and light in weight. This project is a wide scoped project various of several technical engineering methods such as CAD (computer aided design), CFD (computational fluid dynamics), management skills such as communication and marketing. The prototype is build using aluminum T6061- T6 alloy for the chassis and the body is build using carbon fibre The vehicle comprised of 3 wheels, two piece of 17 inch tyres and a single 18 inch tyre for the rear part. The steering system was built by referring to the Ackerman's principle. CFD analysis is done to the body of the vehicle at 50km/hour speed. The drag coefficient is calculated. The stress and displacement analysis is also included to study the maximum possible damage in case of a coalition.
