This thesis is to describe about the impact of natural ventilation to cooling of oil-filled transformer in enclosed transformer room. Variations of air inlet and outlet positions were proposed. The SpaceClaim direct modeler was used to modeling of the TNB substation geometry. In the meantime, the fluent software was used to establish the suitable calculation parameter and physical models to analyse the air distribution and heat dissipation from the transformer substation. Finally, three cases of the arrangement of the inlet and outlet for the transformer substation numerical simulation were performed. The analysis result of the various cases were compared, and the optimum schemes for air distribution for ventilation were obtained. The objectives have been achieved and all the simulation result can be used for the future research on the ventilation system of transformer substation.
