dc.description.abstractThe aim of this project is to conduct an analysis on the electricity deregulation and the power market. This thesis starts on definition of electricity deregulation as the main point of this project is to discuss about the electricity deregulation. Then, two model of the electricity deregulation is discussed. The models are the British modal and the Norwegian modal, which are the successful electricity deregulation modal. This thesis would then conclude with a discussion whether utility companies in Malaysia should or should not deregulate. If deregulation is the way forward, the precautionary steps were discussed. The same goes with maintaining a regulated structure.en_US
