Abstract
The sudden increase in dengue epidemics all over Malaysia has directed public concern on how to avoid Aedes Aegypti mosquitoes from growing into larger population. The best solution to barricade this issue is to control dengue fever by controlling its vector. The objective of the present project is to introduce the new method of controlling dengue by using a humidifier and the primary objective of this project is to remove the areas from the hotspot list within two weeks. Mosquito buster is effective to repel mosquitoes from affected areas because it uses organic insecticides and the method is less expensive than the traditional method of fogging. Mosquito buster works by producing water mist from the humidifier which contains the mixture of water and organic insecticide. The vapour is dispersed to the surrounding atmosphere which will help to prevent effectively the presence of aedes aegypti mosquitoes The aim of this project is to design and develop a mosquito buster with a proportionater to regulate insecticide dosing. This thesis will describe how the project is carried out. Upon completion of fabrication process of mosquito buster, the prototype is tested at Dr Aziz house .The coverage of the mosquito buster was also tested using an ovitrap.
