The superconductor makes a phenomenon of precisely giving zero electrical resistance when the material is cooled below its critical temperature. In 1986, high temperature superconductors was discovered which one of it are the bismuth-based oxide (BSCCO) superconductors that have been globally expending in research and development with a variety of new materials in the area of superconductivity. However, the limitation of improving the effectiveness in superconductivity remains as the most challenge for practical application in industry. In this study, the Bi-2212 superconductor were used. Therefore, in order to enhance the transport critical current, the dip-coated method was proposed which could be optimized with enhancement of the Bi-2212 superconductor properties. The Bi-2212 powder was used to fabricate Bi-2212 superconducting tapes through dip-coated method. The bulk sample from the Bi-2212 powder are formed by using the solid state method. Additional layers of Bi-2212 deposition through multiple coatings were prepared by stacking layers of single side dip-coated silver strips and then wrapping them with silver foil. The tape samples were conducted with the heat treatment as well. Throughout the process of the sample preparation, the optimum temperature found for sintering process is 840˚C. The fully processed tapes were observed in the characterization section through X-ray Diffraction Patterns and Scanning Electron Microscopy. The transport critical current density was also measured by using the four-probe point measurement method. The current capacity of the single and double coated tape was compared in this research. The double layered coatings from dip-coated as expected, increase the current capacity of the coated tapes without compromising the superconducting tapes.en_US
