Abstract
This paper describes the effect baffles with different height and baffle spacing were the two configurations made in this experimental research. These baffles used to investigate the effect of Flow-induced vibration towards a heat exchanger.
In chapter 1, researched made on journals, books and online sources to gather information regarding this project. The background of this experimental research has been explained by baffles, flow-induced vibrations and also the characteristics of SHTX and HX.
In chapter 2, few researches on journal about FIV, baffle configuration and SHTX performances have been studied and explained for a better understanding of this project.
Moreover, in chapter 3, the methods used in this project have been explained with details and diagrams. The experimental setup was constructed by using software like SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD, with these the dimensions was fixed and the setup was planned well. Baffle ratio was introduced in this project to get the temperature differences.
In chapter 4, the data collected were plotted as graph and discussed the variables and also explained about the overall experience of this experimental research.
Finally, in chapter 5, the experimental research is concluded with some recommendations for flow induced vibration on heat exchanger using different configurations of baffles.
